About the game

Slap Arena is a turn-based duel where your chat is the queue. Two viewers step onto the pier and trade slaps until one flies off, and the winner stays on to defend the arena against whoever is next in line. Everyone joins free, so a quiet stream still fills up, and the on-screen queue shows exactly who is waiting for their shot.

Gifts buy HP and a five-step weapon ladder

Coins bank HP so a fighter survives longer, and enough of them upgrade the weapon in their hand, from a bare palm to a fish, a frying pan, a baseball bat, a mallet, and finally a satellite dish that ends duels in one swing. Every hit lands with a callout, and each weapon has its own signature line, so no two slaps read the same.

Win streaks end in a fatality

Every few wins the champion earns a full FINISH HIM cutscene ending in a FATALITY, and viewers can see the finisher coming from the streak counter on screen. A top-winners board ranks the arena, and the whole interface runs in twelve languages.

How viewers play

Viewers join in with gifts, comments and likes. Every action below can be bound to any of them, so you decide which gift, comment or like drives which effect.

• Join the queue: Puts the viewer in line for their turn on the pier. Free, so anyone watching can take part
• Power up: Banks HP onto the viewer's fighter so they survive more slaps
• Fish: Upgrades the fighter to the fish, the first weapon above a bare hand
• Frying pan: Upgrades the fighter to the frying pan, with its own BONK callout
• Bat: Upgrades the fighter to the baseball bat for a home-run launch
• Mallet: Upgrades the fighter to the mallet, one of the heaviest hitters
• Satellite dish: The top of the weapon ladder, big enough to end a duel in a swing
